Founder, Director of Biblical Counseling, & CCS Board Chairman
Before founding CCS, Rod served in pastoral ministry for thirty+ years. In the mid-2000s Rod also worked with the North Carolina Baptist State Convention as a church planter. He is a graduate of Liberty University, and prior to entering full-time ministry he worked as a Behavioral Counselor and Social Worker in the NC mental health system. While at Liberty he also played collegiate football for the Flames. Rod holds a BS degree in Clinical Psychology, as well as a Master and Doctor of Biblical Studies. He is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors with an Advanced Certification in Biblical Counseling.

Teresa is originally from Wilkes County located in the foothills of western North Carolina. She is a proud graduate of Appalachian State University with a bachelor's and master's degree in education. Rod and Teresa married in 1983 and are the proud parents of two adult sons. The oldest, Joshua, lives in Wendell, NC and the youngest, Tanner, lives in Wilmington, NC with his wife Katie. Teresa is now retired from teaching in public schools after 34 years.
